2008 Mileage Rates Information

As of January 1, 2008, the standard mileage rate is 50.5 cents a mile for all business miles driven (up from 48.5 cents a mile in 2007). Recently the IRS issued an increase for the second half of 2008; beginning July 1, 2008, the standard mileage rate if 58.5 cents per business mile.

Mileage rate of 14 cents/mile for volunteers giving services to a charitable organization remains the same.
