      When: January 12, 2019
Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Place: Northwest Presbyterian Church Conference Room
      Cost: $5.00 for 70-page Participant’s Guide

If your spouse died, whether recently or a few years ago, you may need the comfort and practical information this Seminar offers. This two-hour meeting includes a helpful video and the chance to talk with others who have lost their spouses. In a small-group setting you can discuss or comment on what you learned in the video, which features advice and wisdom form several counselors, pastors and psychologists. If you prefer not to talk, you may benefit by just listening to the group discussion.

You will receive the Participant’s Guide that you can take home with you. Some topics in this guide include:

      • Going through grief
      • Dealing with loneliness and anxiety
      • How can I have hope?
      • Is my grief normal?
      • Financial and legal action steps after the death of a spouse

Some of the ideas presented in Loss of a Spouse are based on Christian principles. But even if you practice a different faith, don’t believe in God, or feel distant from Him, the Seminar and Participant’s Guide can still help you. The information provided will encourage you as you grieve, regardless of your religious view.

Perhaps you know of a neighbor friend or relative who has experienced the death of spouse and is going through a difficult time. Please pass on this information; the Loss of Spouse Seminar may be a great help.

Team Members: Pastor John Harland, Katie Sistar, Charlotte Ogilvie, and Barb Piwonka
