      Your camp and conference center is amid a capital campaign entitled “Setting a Place for All.” It is an effort to build a new single-level dining hall (with 250 capacity), centralized office and administrative space, an adult-friendly retreat cottage, and renovations to Cedar Lodge for enhanced meeting space. At this point in the campaign, Cedarkirk is reaching out to the covenant partners to share more information and to invite churches to consider how they might join in this effort. While some gifts will come from foundations and grants, the success of this campaign will depend on support from partnering churches and individuals.

      Here are some specific ways you can help!

      • Pray! This is the first major development effort in Cedarkirk’s history and we know the importance of praying for God’s presence and direction in this unique opportunity. We ask for your prayers for the campaign as well as our summer camp ministry and year-round events.
      • Share the new capital campaign video with your congregation
      • Conduct a Special Offering to raise awareness and funds for Cedarkirk’s campaign (we have bulletin inserts and envelopes to help with this);
      • Consider including Cedarkirk in the mission budget for your church or adding Cedarkirk as a mission component of your church’s capital campaign;
      • Help honor Cedarkirk’s founding directors with the AT & Doris Brown Initiative – seeking 1,000 gifts of $1,000 or more;
      • Invite a Cedarkirk staff or board member to come and share information with your congregation during a fellowship dinner, a Minute for Mission during Sunday worship, or at a special event.

      There are a wide variety of resources available at http://www.cedarkirk.org/campaign including videos, bulletin inserts, and more. Feel free to contact Executive Director, John Reiter (john@cedarkirk.org), for more information. As always, thank you for your partnership in ministry and for your continued prayers and support of this vital ministry!
