Gene Aspy, a member of the International Mission Partnership Committee of Tampa Bay was present at the annual meeting of scholarship recipients in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The scholarships are provided by Presbyterian churches in the United States. People in the Tampa Bay Presbytery provide for most of these scholarships. The government provides “free” education through the sixth grade. Even then students must provide uniforms and transportation. After sixth grade add books, tuition, and supplies. Many students walk on treacherous mountain paths for an hour to school in all kinds of weather. If you would like to support this scholarship ministry you can funnel the money the money through your church and earmark it Honduran Scholarship.
TAMPA BAY IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN HONDURAS.
