WHAT: “CLASSICAL KALEIDOSCOPE”
We are pleased to open our 2018-19 season with an exciting classical program. Selected works by Schubert, Chopin, Liszt and Gershwin will make for a kaleidoscope of classical showpieces for the piano. The excellent acoustics of the Peace Church sanctuary will complement your experience.
WHO: REBECCA PENNEYS, PIANIST
Renowned pianist Rebecca Penneys is a Steinway Artist, Professor Emerita of Piano at Eastman School of Music, and Courtesy Steinway-Artist-in-Residence at USF, Tampa. Her selections will include works by Schubert, Chopin, Liszt and Gershwin. She is also the founder-director of the Rebecca Penneys International Piano Festival and the RPPF- Mini held at USF, Tampa.
WHERE: Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church (the pink church downtown) 110 S. Ft. Harrison Ave., Clearwater. (corner of Pierce St. and Ft. Harrison).
CHARGE: No tickets needed and seating is first come, first served. An offering will be taken ($5-10 minimum suggested). Doors open at 2:30.
RECEPTION: After the concert, there is a light reception in the fellowship hall so you can meet, greet and thank the musicians.
PARKING: Primary areas are: behind the church off of Pierce; directly east across Ft Harrison in large County lot (reserved for Peace church events on Sundays); in lot north of the fellowship hall, and west in the City Hall lot.
