Meet the Faculty:

Dana Hughes
is delighted to serve as the Transitional Presbytery Pastor for the Denver Presbytery. She has worked for 19 years in interim/transitional ministry and feels called to the liminal space between “back then” and “soon,” which she forthrightly asserts is the place where the Holy Spirit is most active. Like a storm-chaser, Dana is gobsmacked by God’s whirling presence when the air is charged, and she loves nothing more than helping pastors and congregations appreciate the raw beauty of change. Dana adores her husband, Bill, gushes rhapsodically about her three far-flung adult children, and maintains an excessive number of four-legged friends. She is also a published poet, a potter, quilter, knitter, unflappable gardener and a more than decent cook.

Stu Ritter
has served as a transitional pastor in the PC (U.S.A.) since 1999, leading congregations of 250 to 1500 members in ten presbyteries. He is currently Stated Clerk of Northeast Georgia Presbytery. Earlier, he worked as a city planner, administrator and consultant in organizational development. He also taught social research and leadership development at the University of New Hampshire, the University of Judaism and Cornell University. Stu is a graduate of Cornell (BA), UNC- Chapel Hill (MA) and San Francisco Theological Seminary (MDiv).

Susan Haynes
is a native of the Atlanta area and a lifelong Presbyterian. She has been actively involved in many aspects of the life of the church as a Deacon, Ruling Elder, and now as a Teaching Elder. Her main area of service to the church beyond the local congregation has been on the Committee on Ministry of two presbyteries, most recently as co-chair of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta’s Committee on Ministry. Susan graduated from Georgia State University in 1980 (B.B.A) and graduated from Columbia Theological Seminary in 2002 (M.Div.)
